"The Foundations of Family Security in the Holy Quran and Positive Law"

Abstract

This article addresses a topic of great importance due to its connection to the family and its security; it sheds light on the foundations of family security in the Holy Qur’an and positive law; this is done by deepening the research into the verses of the Holy Qur’an and the positive legislations regulating the family and its security, and deriving the foundations and pillars of family security from those verses and legislative materials; It is thus clear that family security is a broad concept that can only be understood through the convergence of its components, which are characterized by development and change according to the variables of time, place, the nature of society, and everything that affects family stability.

It is also clear that these rulings included security principles and components that are highly effective in achieving sound family security. These are fundamentally authentic Islamic principles that were later adopted by secular legislation and have accompanied the family through its various stages of formation. These components are embodied in the engagement and its related rulings, in marriage and its conditions and pillars, and in the resulting consequences and the related regulations, conditions, and consequences, which are considered security principles par excellence.
